Characterization of circulating exosomes in domestic species

This research line focuses on studying circulating exosomes as diagnostic tools and research models for diseases in domestic species. Ovine scrapie: Circulating exosomes in sheep have been characterized for the detection of the pathological isoform of the prion protein (PrPSc), exploring their potential as biomarkers for early diagnosis of prion diseases. Dogs: Circulating exosomes in dogs have been analyzed to identify molecular biomarkers associated with various pathological conditions, such as idiopathic epilepsy.
