Antimicrobial resistances in pathogens, food-borne zoonotic agents and indicators

Annual surveillance programs in Antimicrobial resistance are established. Microorganisms are obtained in active sampling conducted in collaboration with the Central Administration, Regional Administration and pharmaceutical companies. Clinical isolates are performed with bacterial collections. Likewise, research in wild animals, urban effluents and clinical isolates was carried out. Evaluate the antimicrobial resistance profiles and their evolution in microorganisms isolated in food animals and food from animal origin and their relation with antimicrobial use. Identify the presence of antimicrobial resistant bacteria in wild animals and urban effluents. Studies of safety and efficacy of antimicrobials intended for use by animals. Study the temporal dynamics of resistant bacteria in laying hens.
